Why a drink tips on a console—and what to check
Look at support, contact and nearby movement. A wider base cannot correct a sloping lid, incomplete seating or a surface that moves.
The lid slopes or is rounded
A surface can look broad while supporting only part of the base. Check the actual contact area and levelness. If the drink leans or the holder rocks, choose another spot rather than assuming flexible material will compensate.
The container is not fully seated
Check the base diameter against 2–3.15 inches and inspect anything preventing full seating: a low handle, added boot or unusual bottom shape. Do not force an incompatible container into the holder.
The surface changes underneath it
Opening a console lid, shifting an elbow or moving a seat can disturb the setup. Remove the drink before adjusting furniture or storage. Thoughtful placement matters even while parked.
The expectation is a driving restraint
Steadi is not a vehicle mount. Motion from braking, corners and road irregularities is a different problem from widening a drink’s footprint during a stationary break. Use appropriate intended storage for driving.
There is already a spill
Remove the drink and holder, hand wash Steadi separately, and follow the exact vehicle manufacturer’s interior-care guidance. Do not infer upholstery protection or stain resistance from the holder’s shape.
